Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone

保亭县呀诺达雨林文化旅游区·HaiNanSheng, Hainan·South China

Yanoda splits its magic across two hills — one wears the rainforest, the other runs the water. Pick a line and play it well, or stay overnight and take both. These notes blend official guidance with recent travelers' field reports.

Suggested Itinerary

  1. One day — The Signature Yanoda
Arrive at the 08:30 opening and go straight to the Dream Valley stream trek (two soaked hours climbing the falls); dry off over a buffet lunch; cable car to the summit for the glass platform; zip line the 608 m down into Rainforest Valley; a boardwalk loop among banyans and tree ferns before the 16:00 shuttle out.
  2. One day — New Water Adventures
Morning at the 123 Adventure Park (opened July 2026): the 45-minute, eight-rapid canyon rafting run, then via-ferrata canyoning — the B line with kids, or the full A line's waterfall jumps, water zipline and sky ladder. Afternoon: dry off and choose your peak — Devil's Swing at the platform, or the wetlands and parrot theater with the family.
  3. Half day — Canopy & Culture
Cable car up for the glass platform panorama, zip line or stroll down, one boardwalk loop through the big trees, then the parrot theater, brocade village and bamboo dance before the 17:00 last entry.

What to See

1

The Six Rainforest Spectacles

Strangling figs, buttress roots, flowers blooming straight from old trunks, vine ladders and hanging gardens — plus the poison 'see-blood-seal-throat' upas tree and thousand-year banyans.

2

Dream Valley Waterfalls

Yingbin, Tianmen and Lian'en falls stair-stepping 200 m down a 1.2-km gorge — boardwalk views for everyone, stream trek for the brave.

3

Sandao Valley

The wildest of the three: a 3-km gorge with a 300-m drop, dragon pools up to 30 m deep and cliffs to 380 m — deliberately left near-natural.

4

Glass Platform & Cliff Swings

The 365-m glass deck over a 200-m void, and beside it the Devil's Swing arcing to 150° at some 120 km/h — plus the sea-view swing's gentler 8-m arm.

5

Wetlands & Parrot Theater

Shaded wetland boardwalks, Li Bayin folk music, 30-plus performing parrots and an alpaca-and-meerkat petting zoo — the family corner, free with admission.

6

Li Brocade Village

Weaving demonstrations, handicraft stalls, Li-costume dress-up photos and the Zodiac Square's Shan Hai Jing-inspired sculptures.

Tips from Real Travelers

Food & Drink

Li Family Feast (黎家宴)

The park's banquet tradition: five-foot pig, reservoir fish and foraged wild herbs, cooked Li-style.

Rainforest Buffet

Gate-area and valley buffets at about ¥58–68 that reload trekkers between adventure stations.

Baby Pineapples & Jackfruit

The island's sweet mini pineapples — three for around ¥10 at valley stalls — and fresh-cut jackfruit.

Kuding Bitter Tea

A caffeine-free herbal 'non-tea' from the rainforest's own leaves, poured in shaded tea pavilions.
